Application & Vetting Process

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify as a ZenHome Pro, you must meet specific eligibility criteria that ensure you can deliver the quality service our clients expect.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in your specialty
  • All required licenses, permits, and certifications for your services
  • Appropriate insurance coverage, including liability insurance
  • Clean background check results
  • Reliable transportation and necessary tools/equipment
  • Smartphone capable of running the ZenHome mobile application

Documentation & Verification

ZenHome requires specific documentation to verify your qualifications, insurance coverage, and legal compliance.

Required Documentation:

  • Valid government-issued identification
  • Business licenses and professional certifications relevant to your services
  • Proof of insurance coverage, including general liability and professional liability
  • Workers' compensation insurance documentation or valid exemption certification
  • Business tax identification number or Social Security Number
  • Banking information for payment processing
  • Portfolio of previous work (if applicable)

Payment Terms & Schedule

ZenHome handles all client payments and ensures you receive fair compensation for your work in a timely manner.

Payment Process:

  • All payments are processed through the ZenHome platform
  • ZenHome charges a service fee (percentage of the total job cost)
  • For simple jobs, payment is released within 3 business days after client approval
  • For complex projects, deposits and milestone payments are held in escrow and released according to the project schedule
  • Funds are deposited directly to your bank account via ACH transfer
  • You are responsible for all taxes on income earned through ZenHome

Quality Standards & Reviews

ZenHome maintains high quality standards to ensure client satisfaction and protect the reputation of our service professional network.

Quality Expectations:

  • All work must meet or exceed industry standards and building codes
  • Use only high-quality materials appropriate for the job
  • Provide a minimum 1-year standard warranty on workmanship
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Clean the work area upon completion
  • Document work with before and after photos

Review System:

  • Clients rate your service on a 5-star scale across multiple categories
  • Rating categories include quality of work, professionalism, communication, and timeliness
  • Your overall rating affects your visibility and ranking in the ZenHome platform
  • Professionals must maintain a minimum 4.0/5.0 rating to remain on the platform
  • You can respond to client reviews through the platform

Communication Requirements

Clear, prompt, and professional communication is essential for successful project completion and client satisfaction.

Communication Expectations:

  • Respond to job requests within 24 hours
  • Communicate exclusively through ZenHome's platform
  • Provide regular updates on project progress
  • Notify clients and ZenHome immediately of any delays or issues
  • Document all changes to project scope or timeline in writing
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication at all times

Dispute Resolution

ZenHome provides a structured process for resolving disputes between service professionals and clients.

  • $2,000,000 General Aggregate per Project
  • $2,000,000 Products & Completed Operations Aggregate
  • $1,000,000 Personal and Advertising Injury Limit

Business or Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance

  • $1,000,000 combined single limit per accident

Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability Insurance

  • $100,000 Each Accident
  • $100,000 Each Employee for Injury by Disease
  • $500,000 Aggregate for Injury by Disease
  • Valid Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) certification/exemption as required by state law

Termination & Account Status

ZenHome outlines clear conditions for account termination and the process for voluntarily leaving the platform.

Termination by ZenHome:

ZenHome may terminate your account for the following reasons:

  • Violation of the Pro Agreement terms
  • Maintaining a rating below ZenHome's minimum standards
  • Repeated cancellations or client complaints
  • Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
  • Failure to maintain required insurance coverage
  • Attempting to circumvent the ZenHome platform for client payments

Voluntary Termination:

To voluntarily leave the ZenHome platform:

Confidentiality & Data Protection

Your Responsibilities:

  • Keep all client information confidential
  • Use client information only as necessary to perform services
  • Do not disclose client information to third parties without explicit permission
  • Comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws
  • Securely dispose of client information when no longer needed
  • Report any data breaches to ZenHome immediately
  • Protect ZenHome's confidential information, including pricing strategies and business plans

Intellectual Property

ZenHome outlines clear guidelines regarding intellectual property rights for both the platform and service professional content.

Intellectual Property Rights:

All intellectual property rights in the platform and service professional content are owned by ZenHome.

You grant ZenHome a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display your content on the platform.

You retain all other rights in your content.
