Welcome to ZenHome's Service Professional network. This agreement outlines our partnership and the expectations for service professionals on our platform.
Application & Vetting Process
ZenHome maintains a rigorous vetting process to ensure all service professionals meet our high standards for quality, reliability, and professionalism.
Complete the online application with your professional information, service areas, and specialties
Submit required documentation including licenses, certifications, and proof of insurance
Pass a comprehensive background check for you and any team members who will enter clients' homes
Complete a professional interview with a ZenHome representative
Receive platform training and complete onboarding process
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify as a ZenHome Pro, you must meet specific eligibility criteria that ensure you can deliver the quality service our clients expect.
Basic Requirements:
- •Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in your specialty
- •All required licenses, permits, and certifications for your services
- •Appropriate insurance coverage, including liability insurance
- •Clean background check results
- •Reliable transportation and necessary tools/equipment
- •Smartphone capable of running the ZenHome mobile application
Documentation & Verification
ZenHome requires specific documentation to verify your qualifications, insurance coverage, and legal compliance.
Required Documentation:
- •Valid government-issued identification
- •Business licenses and professional certifications relevant to your services
- •Proof of insurance coverage, including general liability and professional liability
- •Workers' compensation insurance documentation or valid exemption certification
- •Business tax identification number or Social Security Number
- •Banking information for payment processing
- •Portfolio of previous work (if applicable)
Service Categories & Expertise
ZenHome categorizes service professionals based on verified expertise and specializations to match you with appropriate projects.
General Handyman
- •3+ years of general handyman experience
- •Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
- •General liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- •Ability to handle small to medium repairs and installations
Licensed Plumber
- •State plumbing license
- •5+ years of professional plumbing experience
- •General liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- •Workers' compensation insurance
- •Specialized tools and equipment
- •Experience with residential plumbing systems
Licensed Electrician
- •State electrical license
- •5+ years of professional electrical experience
- •General liability insurance ($1M minimum)
- •Workers' compensation insurance

HVAC Specialist
- •HVAC certification/license
- •EPA certification
- •5+ years of HVAC experience

Project Types
ZenHome offers two main types of projects: simple fixed-price jobs and complex multi-professional projects. Each has its own workflow and requirements.
Simple Fixed-Price Jobs
- •Pre-defined scope with standard pricing
- •Single service professional
- •Typically completed in one visit
- •Payment collected after service completion
- •Examples: Appliance repair, basic plumbing, electrical fixes
- •Minimal client consultation required
Complex Multi-Pro Projects
- •Custom scope requiring detailed assessment
- •Multiple service professionals coordinated by ZenHome
- •Completed over multiple days or weeks
- •Requires deposit and milestone-based payments
- •Examples: Kitchen renovation, bathroom remodel, major landscaping
- •Extensive client consultation and planning
1Assessment & Bidding
- •Review project details and requirements in the ZenHome platform
- •Schedule an on-site assessment if needed
- •Submit a detailed bid with timeline, materials, and cost breakdown
- •Respond to client questions through the ZenHome messaging system
- •Receive notification when your bid is accepted
2Project Execution
- •Receive deposit through the ZenHome platform
- •Coordinate with other professionals through ZenHome's project management tools
- •Document progress with photos and updates
- •Request inspections at appropriate milestones
- •Communicate any changes or issues promptly
3Completion & Payment
- •Complete final inspection with client
- •Address any punch list items
- •Submit completion notification through the platform
- •Client confirms work completion
- •Receive final payment through ZenHome
Bidding Process
ZenHome's bidding process is designed to be fair, transparent, and efficient, connecting you with projects that match your expertise and availability.
You receive notifications for projects matching your service categories and location
Review project details, including scope, timeline, and client requirements
Submit your bid with detailed pricing, timeline, and approach
Answer any client questions through the ZenHome messaging system
Receive notification if your bid is accepted or declined
Payment Terms & Schedule
ZenHome handles all client payments and ensures you receive fair compensation for your work in a timely manner.
Payment Process:
- •All payments are processed through the ZenHome platform
- •ZenHome charges a service fee (percentage of the total job cost)
- •For simple jobs, payment is released within 3 business days after client approval
- •For complex projects, deposits and milestone payments are held in escrow and released according to the project schedule
- •Funds are deposited directly to your bank account via ACH transfer
- •You are responsible for all taxes on income earned through ZenHome
Quality Standards & Reviews
ZenHome maintains high quality standards to ensure client satisfaction and protect the reputation of our service professional network.
Quality Expectations:
- •All work must meet or exceed industry standards and building codes
- •Use only high-quality materials appropriate for the job
- •Provide a minimum 1-year standard warranty on workmanship
- •Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
- •Clean the work area upon completion
- •Document work with before and after photos
Review System:
- •Clients rate your service on a 5-star scale across multiple categories
- •Rating categories include quality of work, professionalism, communication, and timeliness
- •Your overall rating affects your visibility and ranking in the ZenHome platform
- •Professionals must maintain a minimum 4.0/5.0 rating to remain on the platform
- •You can respond to client reviews through the platform
Communication Requirements
Clear, prompt, and professional communication is essential for successful project completion and client satisfaction.
Communication Expectations:
- •Respond to job requests within 24 hours
- •Communicate exclusively through ZenHome's platform
- •Provide regular updates on project progress
- •Notify clients and ZenHome immediately of any delays or issues
- •Document all changes to project scope or timeline in writing
- •Maintain professional and respectful communication at all times
Dispute Resolution
ZenHome provides a structured process for resolving disputes between service professionals and clients.
Report the dispute through the ZenHome platform, providing detailed information and documentation
ZenHome customer support will contact both parties to gather information and mediate the dispute
If necessary, ZenHome may arrange for an independent inspection or assessment
ZenHome will propose a resolution based on the agreement terms, industry standards, and gathered evidence
If the dispute cannot be resolved through mediation, it will proceed to binding arbitration as outlined in the Pro Agreement
Insurance & Liability
ZenHome requires all service professionals to maintain appropriate insurance coverage to protect themselves, clients, and the platform.
Commercial General Liability Insurance
- •$1,000,000 Each Occurrence Limit (Bodily Injury and Property Damage)
- •$2,000,000 General Aggregate per Project
- •$2,000,000 Products & Completed Operations Aggregate
- •$1,000,000 Personal and Advertising Injury Limit
Business or Commercial Automobile Liability Insurance
- •$1,000,000 combined single limit per accident
Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability Insurance
- •$100,000 Each Accident
- •$100,000 Each Employee for Injury by Disease
- •$500,000 Aggregate for Injury by Disease
- •Valid Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) certification/exemption as required by state law
Termination & Account Status
ZenHome outlines clear conditions for account termination and the process for voluntarily leaving the platform.
Termination by ZenHome:
ZenHome may terminate your account for the following reasons:
- •Violation of the Pro Agreement terms
- •Maintaining a rating below ZenHome's minimum standards
- •Repeated cancellations or client complaints
- •Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
- •Failure to maintain required insurance coverage
- •Attempting to circumvent the ZenHome platform for client payments
Voluntary Termination:
To voluntarily leave the ZenHome platform:
- 1Provide written notice to ZenHome
- 2Complete any outstanding job commitments
- 3Settle any outstanding balances or disputes
- 4Deactivate your account through the platform
Confidentiality & Data Protection
ZenHome requires service professionals to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and ZenHome's proprietary data.
Your Responsibilities:
- •Keep all client information confidential
- •Use client information only as necessary to perform services
- •Do not disclose client information to third parties without explicit permission
- •Comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws
- •Securely dispose of client information when no longer needed
- •Report any data breaches to ZenHome immediately
- •Protect ZenHome's confidential information, including pricing strategies and business plans
Intellectual Property
ZenHome outlines clear guidelines regarding intellectual property rights for both the platform and service professional content.
Intellectual Property Rights:
All intellectual property rights in the platform and service professional content are owned by ZenHome.
You grant ZenHome a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, and display your content on the platform.
You retain all other rights in your content.
